Under armour is a professional athlete brand that focus more on technical performance rather than appearance. They are targeting a narrower user group comparing to other leading active brand, and their needs are to attract more professional runners who can also enhance their branding.

🤔 KEY FINDINGS FROM USER RESEARCH
90% of interviewees participate in some kind of work-out in their free time.
They wish they can do more in their limited after hour time, however they usually can only choose one.
They feel more motivated when working out under peer pressure, they tend to push themselves to a higher level of performance when they have a work-out partner.
After a long day of work, they wish they could get some fresh air by jogging outside.
When people are new to a place, they usually use social media to make more friends but they don’t always match with their expectations.
Some of them feel shy to talk to people and ask for their information.
🎯 PROBLEM STATEMENT
UA CREW is a mobile app that helps the users to explore a city and make more friends when they are new to a city, and makes it easier for introvert people to blend in a new environment while finding the balance among work, social and exercise in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The onboarding system is designed to welcome new users and encourage them to step forward. The operation is simple and straight forward, simple enough to get started.
To bring social aspect to the design, the landing page is designed to include existing member's sharing post, details for events, and gathering location
For new users to understand the running process easily, there is a event detail page that contains all detail informations such as gathering dates, locations, time, and gears.

🔍 RETROSPECTIVE
The importance of user's opinion
The usability testing process gave me a more comprehensive understanding of how a product could play impact on users and how usability could affect decision-making. We also paid attention to accessibility in the process of redesigning the app including changing the color contrast and adjusting icon and component sizes.
How to integrate 2 different brand
During testing, we found that some users are not clear about product competitiveness and communication. So we implemented more branding concepts in the redesign and applied them to interaction design.
